Dublin Flea Market Annual Christmas Cracker Market

“The Dublin Flea Christmas Market is a mix of the usual Dublin Flea stalls, with an added injection of craft focused traders. So this means you still get the bargains and rummaging of second hand unique treasures you are used to at the flea, but with the addition of some beautiful local design, craft and collectibles that you are not likely to find anywhere else.”

This year Dublin Flea Christmas Market event has a new home – Point Village. It’s easily accessible by Luas and you can drop by the Christmas Market in George’s Dock too.

Flee markets are generally great way to find cool things – be it something for your house or yourself – and this one is not an exception. It’s nice to see the space is being used for what it was intended too.

Here are some of the cool brands that caught my eye personally:

Planted-IMG_7020Planted –  small, Stoneybatter based air plant design company founded by Peter Jenkinson and Robyn Riley in 2014. This is on the top of my list, because I love airplants and been wanting to get one for a year now.

Scribble and Stone

Scribble & Stone is a luxury fashion jewellery label by Irish designer Jenny Kiernan. Wouldn’t this be a great Christmas gift to someone? Although looking at their website it’s quite pricey for my own taste.

loulou – Louise Flynn (LouLou) will be selling her beautiful watercolour designs, original paintings and limited edition prints. I had a peek at her Facebook page and I am in love. Such a talented lady! P.S. There are lots of posts about tattoo art.

Karolina Shlagner designs – Karolina offers a handmade, stylish and affordable clothing and accessories range for day and evening dress. Her warm cotton snoods and cashmere scarves are always very popular during the Christmas shopping time. Recently she has started working with felt producing original felt bags and tablets and laptop pouches.

Doni Doni Ireland aims to bring a bit of Mali, West Africa to Ireland this Christmas. We’ll be selling beautiful Bogolan mud cloth scarves, cushion covers, wall hangings and throws all hand-made and dyed using traditional techniques and natural pigments.

Baressential – Each piece of baressential soap is unique – a hand polished feast of delicious ingredients combined to create long lasting super sudsy bars of natural beauty.

Minushka – Minushka is a small brand created by designer/illustrator Vicky Knysh specialising in good mood and art for your everyday life.

You can still get there tomorrow Sunday 13 Dec 11pm – 6pm
