New Year’s night in Dublin

In my last post I have shared some of my experiences celebrating New Year in Dublin. This post is for those who have not made any plans yet.
So, let’s see what’s on in Dublin on 31st of December:

Three Countdown Concert

NYF_concertThis is on the top of my list as I am actually going there this year. Here are reasons why:
– It’s indoors (3Arena)
– It features Fatboy Slim. There are also Coronas, Kila, Ryan Sheridan and Little hours. I’ve been wanting to see Fatboy Slim for ages and unfortunately missed him at the Forbidden Fruit Festival this year, so this is a real treat. Tickets are available on Ticketmaster. Tickets are from 33.50, but there are some additional charges, so count 38-39 Euro.

Stephen’s Green Street Fest

NYF_STREET_FESTPart of New Year’s Festival Dublin it’s the first one this year.  Ring in the New Year with live music performances from some of Ireland’s top musical performers, Le Galaxie, All Tvvins and Wyvern Lingo. Enjoy the festivities as Stephen’s Green South (Between Leeson St. and Harcourt St.) comes alive as party people from all over the world gather to bring in 2016 in style.
Tickets are on Ticketmaster 7.50 Euro

The Masked Ball at Odeon

Arrive unrecognised and enter a world of intrigue, decadence and opulence. No admission charge, but you need to put yourself on a guestlist.

It’s also based on a guestlist, you get yourself on it if you want to go.

Space Ibiza on tour

These guys are coming to Pygmalion (again). Tickets for this can be bought on Resident Advisor. I went there last year. See my previous post. I would nearly prefer Dakota for that matter or Grogan’s though. Just make sure to arrive there early, be prepared to queue and be prepared that there will be no space in a cloakroom.

Another New Years Eve

This to me sounds definitely like something I want to try some year. The shuttle bus is going to take you to the Killyon Manor (pickup is in St. Patricks Close in D8), time – depending whether you have opted in for a dinner or just dancing. Please note that attendance is strictly by bus only.

There is a ballroom, drawing room, fireplaces, candles. It sounds like scene from Great Gatsby. Love the idea! See more details here.

Another few options in the city center: Mercantile is throwing the Latin party (tickets 10 Euro); The River Bar on O’Connell St is having the R&B party.

Whatever you choose, have a great night saying goodbye to 2015 and very important – stay safe!
